Q1. How do I log in to EtechRU for the first time?

When your account is created by a Company Manager or Administrator, you will receive a welcome email containing your login credentials and a link to the platform. If the “Force Password Change” option was enabled during account creation, you will be prompted to set a new password upon your first login. If you do not receive a welcome email, check your spam folder or contact your manager or the site support team using the Help button at the bottom-left corner of the login page.

Q2. What can I see and do on my Dashboard?

After logging in, your Dashboard is your central hub. It displays your total Available Courses, Courses In Progress, Completed Courses, and Overall Progress percentage. It also shows the Announcements section with the latest updates from your organisation, a Leadership Scoreboard snapshot showing top performers, and quick navigation to all platform features including Course Library, Leaderboard, Reports, Badges, and Calendar. Use the View Course Summary button for a full breakdown of your learning activity at any time.

Q3. How do I track my own learning progress and performance?

Your progress is visible across several areas of the platform. The Dashboard provides a high-level overview including your overall completion percentage. The Reports section offers five detailed report types: Course Completion Report, User Report, Activity Completion Report, Certificate Report, and Badge Report. Each report can be filtered by Category, Course, Status, and Date Range, and downloaded in your preferred format. Your Leaderboard ranking also reflects your overall engagement and XP earned through completed courses.

Q4. How do I earn badges and certificates on EtechRU?

Badges and certificates are awarded automatically as you complete courses and reach key learning milestones. There is no manual process required, once you finish a course that has a certificate or badge associated with it, the achievement is recorded on your profile. You can view all earned certificates under Reports > Certificate Report and all earned badges under Reports > Badge Report or the Badges section in the left navigation menu. Both reports support search and Excel download for easy record-keeping.

Q5. What is the Leaderboard and how do I move up on it?

The Leaderboard ranks all learners within your organisation based on total XP (experience points) earned through completing courses and reaching milestones. It has two tabs : Info, which shows your personal learning levels and the XP needed to advance, and Leaderboard, which shows top performers ranked by total XP with their current level and progress bar. For example, Level 1 unlocks at 10 XP and Level 2 unlocks at 20 XP. To move up the leaderboard, simply complete more of your enrolled courses to accumulate XP.

Q6. Can I self Enroll into courses on EtechRU?

Yes, depending on the enrollment settings configured for each course. When browsing the Course Library, you can view available courses, review the course overview, content sections, and instructor information, and click Enroll Now or Enroll Me to self-enroll if the course allows it with no enrolment key required. Some courses may require an enrollment key or may only be accessible through manager-assigned enrollment. If a course is not available for self-enrollment, contact your Company Manager or Department Training Manager to request access.

Q7. How do I manage my notification preferences?

Navigate to Preferences > User Account > Notification Preferences. Notifications are organised into four categories: Assignment, Questionnaire, System, and Course Notifier. Each notification type has two independent delivery channels : Web and Email, which can be toggled on or off individually. To set your email format, click the Settings gear icon next to the Email column header, choose either Plain Text Format or Pretty HTML Format, and click Save Changes. To turn off all notifications at once, check the Disable Notifications checkbox at the top of the page.

Q8. What information is on my Profile and can I update it?

Your Profile page is accessible by clicking your name or avatar in the top-right corner and selecting Profile. It displays your User Details (email, country, city, timezone, call centre, and employee status), Privacy and Policies, Miscellaneous links (certificates, forum posts, learning plans), Reports (browser sessions, grades overview), and Login Activity (first and last access date and session duration). To update your information, click Edit Profile, make your changes, and click Save Changes.

Q9. How do I get help if I face an issue on EtechRU?

EtechRU provides two support channels. For quick self-service answers, click the Knowledge Base link in the top navigation bar to search for guides and troubleshooting articles. For direct assistance, click the Help (?) button at the bottom-left corner of any page to open the Contact Site Support form. Your name and email will be pre-filled : enter a Subject, describe your issue in the Message field, complete the Security Question, and click Submit. The support team will review your request and respond with a resolution via email.

Q10. How do I use the Calendar to stay on top of my training schedule?

Click Calendar from the left navigation menu to view all upcoming training sessions, course deadlines, and organisational events in one place. Use the month navigation to browse future or past events. Events are categorised by type : training sessions, deadlines, and announcements, so you can quickly identify what requires your attention. Click on any event for full details including session time and registration information. It is recommended to check your Calendar regularly to ensure you never miss a registration deadline or scheduled session.
